The Coroner’s Toolkits

Losing a loved one to suicide is devastating, and for families and communities, the pain is especially heavy during times of sorry business. What can make it even harder is when a coroner investigates the death, as this process can be emotional, complicated, and lengthy. It often delays the time when the deceased can finally rest and when families and communities can begin to heal. However, while the coronial process can be challenging, it’s also an important opportunity for mob to have their voices heard, share their experiences, and help the coroner identify ways to create change and prevent this heart-breaking loss from happening to others.

Norton Rose Fulbright and Thirrili have come together in partnership to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities through the challenges of navigating the Coroners Court during times of sorry business, ensuring their voices are heard.
